Behind The Music: Oh Mother // 5.14.23
what inspired the 8th track of my album "Crystal Eyes"? find out in this entry.
that's it. Sad Kid Summer 2023 is over. I have a mix of emotions. as an
independent artist, it took a lot of time, work, and energy to make these shows happen, and part of me is relieved and ready to finally relax for a spell. but obviously it's a bittersweet kind of relief. I want to say a sincere thank you to everyone who came out to any of the shows this summer. I saw lots of new faces in the crowd, and some of you even came to multiple shows. I really can't fully express how much that means to me. thank you for
allowing me to share my music, my poetry, my heart with you. all I hope is
that it's helped you feel less alone, if even for just a moment. spread these songs around to anyone who might need a moment like that, too. it was a blast spending the summer with you, Springfield. I look forward to focusing on my next project and some new music for you all. sad kids party the hardest.
who says you can't party hard on a Thursday night? obviously none of the people who came to the show at Ruthie's because we had a BLAST. hard to believe there's only one show left this summer.
bummer.
the third and most intimate of the Sad Kid Summer shows was quite an evening! I so enjoyed sharing not only my music but also my heart. special thanks to all who were in attendance. your support means the world.
Sad Kid Summer show #2 was HOT, HOT, HOT. but the jams were hotter! amazing crowd showed up to party at KeenBean Coffee in Mt. Vernon, and I could not have been more thrilled to perform for each and every person. this little indie artist appreciates your support more than you know!
thanks to everyone who came out to the VERY FIRST show in the Sad Kid Summer 2023 series! things kicked off with a wild (yet heartfelt) time at Mother's Brewing Co. in downtown Springfield. can't wait to see what the rest of this year's shows will bring!
I spend most of the year working on new creations with any free moment I get because I only have 6 solid weeks to party with you once summer arrives. 2023 summer shows have officially been announced, with opportunities to come see shows in more intimate settings and more rambunctious ones. check out this year's dates and locations now.
c u @ the show.
