MOLLY.

molly. is Molly Brady, a homegrown indie artist who has been building creations with words and sounds for over a decade. A woman of many talents, Molly writes, records, and produces her own music (as well as the occasional cover song). She experiments with a variety of sounds without compromising lyrical depth, drawing inspiration from a wide range of alternative pop artists including Twenty One Pilots, Billie Eilish, Vampire Weekend, and Lana Del Rey. She is known for her energetic and engaging on-stage presence, raw (yet extremely relatable) messages, and audience connection. Molly began taking her art to the stage in 2017 at the monthly Show Me Poetry Slam in downtown Springfield. After competing with some of the area’s most talented poets for about a year, Molly first publicly performed her music at Springfield's annual Cider Days festival in the fall of 2019. Since then, she has traveled near and far to perform at a variety of venues and events (from solo gigs on outdoor stages in Colorado to opening for Parker Millsap at SBC's The Cellar in Springfield), all while single-handedly releasing two EPs and her first album, Crystal Eyes (released on February 22, 2022).
Molly currently moonlights as a performer; she has a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, a Master of Science in School Counseling, and is currently working on completing an Educational Specialist degree in School Psychology. She splits her time between the studio and her full-time job in education. Molly began writing music and poetry as a teenager. Since that time, she has continued to hone her craft, expand her skills, and share her creations with the world. Completely self-taught, she is a one-woman operation working out of her home studio in Springfield, Missouri.
While Molly’s work is heavily inspired by her own ongoing battles with anxiety and depression, she likes to focus on the variety of emotions that make up the human experience. She performs with the intent of building connections between people and creating spaces for open conversations about mental health. Molly’s mix of styles, thought-provoking lyrics, and lively stage presence make her shows a unique and unforgettable experience for all.
